Matthew Ellender, D.C. is a 2009 graduate of Texas Chiropractic College, where he received a Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Bachelor’s in Human Biology. At TCC, he was an active member and served on the board of the Council on Sports Injury, Student Chiropractic Association of Louisiana, and Student American Chiropractic Association. Dr. Ellender participated in an internship at Rice University that involved injury prevention and rehabilitation for their student athletes.
Dr. Ellender continues his active membership in the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana and the American Chiropractic Association. He is certified in Kinesiotaping, Graston Technique, and Manipulation Under Anesthesia. Dr. Ellender has completed numerous hours toward the Academy of Industrial Injury Management, which takes a new approach to early recognition and treatment that focuses on the biopsychosocial issues that may hinder a worker from returning to work. He takes a patient-centered approach to treatment, which encourages the patient to become an active participant in the treatment of their condition. The treatment is complemented with an evidence-based rehabilitation program that will help guide the patient toward their pre-injury functional goals.
